Grafting Ficus Microcarpia – Tiger Bark Ficus

When grafting branches together it is crucial to work quickly the so that the cambium does not seal until it’s placed in the desired position.  If you aren’t familiar with grafting it is attaching a small young as the branch of a larger tree would be and example of grafting.  This is a progression on my bonsai Ficus Microcarpia.

Grafted Branch is beginning to develop aerial roots. After being attached for about 6 weeks. Will also thicken the base of the trunk.
